Kashmiri dishes are originated based ion the need. Kashmir is a very cold place. Snow falls throughout the year. So the food needs to be such that it offers good calories for thriving in the rough winter. Due to this reason, Kashmiri meal is often a heavy meal. Wheat is mainly used to make most of the food items in Kashmir. Bengali food is originated from West Bengal. The meal is not only cheap but it is very diverse in state and color. You might enjoy a very nice Bengali meal with a very little money. Punjabi food comprise mainly of wheat. Wheat is made in ‘Chapattis’. Chapattis’ are eaten with curries.

The South Indian dishes of India are mainly based on the rice. The rice is the staple food crop of India. For most of the northern part of India, it is the wheat. The availability of the food crop plays an important role in deciding the type of cuisine that is available in area. Since rice is available in southern parts of India, most of the Indian cuisines are made with rice. There are very delicious dishes that are made only in India.
