Ajanta caves: One will find some of the magnificent paintings of India in these Buddhist caves. In the year 1819 it was rediscovered by a British tiger-hunting party. It has been known that five of the caves were temples and 24 were monasteries.
Taj Mahal: This is one of the most popular heritage sites of India. The foundation was laid by Mogul emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Momtaj. This white marble made fort was constructed between 1631 and 1648.
Agra Fort: This huge red-sandstone made had been one of the magnificent forts of India which was laid by Emperor Akbar in 1565 AD. Over there you will experience the vibrant artistic construction Pearl mosque and several other noteworthy structures, named Jahangir Palace and Khas Mahal.
Elephanta Caves: You will find four rock-cut temples on an island in the Oman sea, known as Elephanta Island. These have been created between 450 and 750 AD. You will find large sculpted panels relating to Lord Shiva in the main cave, which portray his marriage to Parvati, a six metre high triple headed ‘Trimurti’ and other scriptures.
Red Fort (Lal Quila): This is one of the primary attractions for the foreign tourists. This was the palace of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. He had made it in the 17th century when he moved his capital from Agra.
